Holt County is a county located in State of Missouri. The county is in the northwest part of the state. The county was organized in 1841 and is named after the Missouri state legislator Dr. David Rice Holt, who died in 1840. Football Hall of Famer, Roger Wehrli, was born in New Point.

Big Lake State Park on Big Lake Located just off Interstate 29 halfway between Kansas City and Omaha. Big Lake State Park was one of the first public recreation areas in northwest Missouri and is a 407-acre park everyone can enjoy with several picnic areas, a swimming pool, boat launch, fishing, bird watching and dining in the park's restaurant. Several events are held at the park throughout the year.
St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church
(Corning, Missouri) Historic Lutheran church located at 112 Walters Street in Corning, Missouri. It was founded as a Confessional Church, adhering to the Unaltered Augsburg Confession. It is currently a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS).
