About Sportman’s Lodge

Come stay in the present but surrounded with the past! The Original Sportsman's Lodge was Consolidated District No. 2 School House, built in 1916 in the town of Bigelow, MO.

In 1954 Georgia Stone (another article) and her husband purchased the lodge and turned it into a Hunter's Paradise. Hunter's from all over came to stay at the lodge and among them were baseball players, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Hank Bauer with the New York Yankees.
